The critical mission of the JSOM is to provide world-wide identification and debate of issues relevant to Special Operations Forces (SOF) medicine.
Article submissions must relate actionable information for SOF medical personnel to implement in real time to provide expert care and treatment to our forces. Submissions relevant to many host nation (HN) military that are trained by or accompany our SOF personnel are also welcome. Many HN civilians benefit from the diffusion of knowledge imparted by publication in the JSOM.
We have dedicated editorial and advisory staff to assist you with technical writing and article submissions. Your ideas are important to us, and we will get them published! We are accepting manuscripts in all Fields topics relating to SOF and TEMS medicine. Don't miss this opportunity to publish in the JSOM and showcase worldwide your work and lessons learned.
Papers should be submitted electronically via email in Microsoft Word and should include a cover sheet containing corresponding Author's name, Paper Title, affiliation, mailing address, phone, fax number, email address, etc.
Authors should indicate interest or send article (even if not yet finished) to: publisher@jsomonline.org. The submitted papers must be written in English and describe original work not published nor currently under review by other journals.
In addition to peer-review articles, submit an outstanding medic to be recognized; lessons learned, need to know topics; upcoming events; book reviews...
The JSOM is always looking for photos of Special Operations medics and docs in action. The best image submitted will go on the covers of upcoming editions, others will in our Photo Gallery. Images must be your own to publish and must be sent as large hi-res JPEGs. Please include captions.
